COVID-19 UPDATE - WE’RE BACK IN 2022
Hello curlers.
The HOT SHOTS Curling Camps were established in 1995.
The COVID-19 Pandemic cancelled our 25th Anniversary camps in 2021. In partnership with the Oakville Curling Club, we were able to stage a mini HOT SHOTS Curling Camp last October. Thanks to stringent safety protocols and the cooperation of everyone involved, the camp was staged successfully without incident.
We are now moving forward to stage multiple camps in 2022, with two camps in Ontario at the KW Granite Club in Kitchener-Waterloo, near Toronto, a camp at our permanent USA site at the Charlotte Curling Association in Charlotte, NC and a bilingual camp at the Rosemère Curling Club in Montreal.
Registrations are now open.
Email us at david@hotshotscurling.com if you have any questions.
Stay healthy and good curling.

KW Granite Club?
August 26-28, 2022
Due to major renovations being considered at our traditional home at the Oakville Curling Club, we have relocated the HOT SHOTS Curling Camp to the KW Granite Club in Waterloo, Ontario (one hour west of Toronto) for the 2022 season. We will be staging our 25th anniversary celebrations (in our 27th year) with some special guest instructors, keynote speakers and other surprises. Whether you are a camp alumni or new camper, we hope you can join us for our traditional three-day summer camp. The six-sheet KW GRANITE CLUB is an exceptional facility with a large lounge and bar area and world-class ice surface. The KW Granite Club is also one of the oldest club’s in Canada dating back to 1927. It is host to the Trillium Junior Curling Camp, World Curling Tour, and Ontario Junior Slam event. We are so pleased they are able to accommodate us. Our plan is to return to the Oakville Curling Club in 2023 for our traditional adult summer camp. Our host hotel will be announced soon.
WHO CAN ATTEND
This is an adult camp, open to individuals, couples, and teams. However, we do allow juniors to attend with a parent or coach. No experience necessary. Campers are organized in groups based on ability and experience, in order to maximize the learning experience.
Announcements regarding our instructor roster will be made on our website, our Facebook Page and via email to participants.
On behalf of our instructors, we look forward to working with VP Curling Scott Allen, Ice Technician Rob Adams, and the Board of Directors of the KW Granite Club to make this camp a huge success.
Good curling and see you in August 2022

Charlotte Curling Association?
Charlotte, North Carolina
September 23-25, 2022
We are now accepting registrations for our September 23-25, 2022 camp at the Charlotte Curling Association. This will be our fourth camp in Charlotte dating back to 2013. From arena ice at the Extreme Ice Centre to a dedicated four-sheet facility, the HOT SHOTS team has been proud to support the growth of the club and the sport in the southeast United States.
Charlotte, North Carolina is easily accessible via direct flight from most points in the USA. The Charlotte Curling Association is located only twenty minutes drive from the Charlotte Douglas International Airport. The curling club and its members pride themselves on a strong base of camaraderie, fellowship, community, sportsmanship, ethics, and morals. All of this combines to yield an amazing group of people, gathering together, playing a sport together but more importantly, enjoying life together.
Plan to tour some of Charlotte during the camp.

WHO CAN ATTEND
While our camps are typically for adults, in order to promote the development of the sport in the USA, we are also accepting junior players. No, (or little), experience is necessary. The camp is also open to Stick curlers and Wheelchair curlers.
Campers are organized in groups based on ability and experience, in order to maximize the learning experience.
OUR PHILOSOPHY
Our camp philosophy is to provide curlers with the tools to make more shots and get greater enjoyment from the sport.
Our on-ice sessions will focus on developing a balanced delivery, consistent release and rock rotation, and of course hitting the target.
We will also teach you effective brushing techniques, how to read the ice, and the secrets of angles (along with some techniques that will allow you to throw those takeouts without compromising your delivery.)
We will also review RULES and ETIQUETTE, TEAM COMMUNICATION, and stage numerous STRATEGY SESSIONS including the new Five-Rock Rule and Mixed-Doubles.
Announcements regarding our instructor roster will be made on our website, our Facebook Page and via email to participants.
We look forward to working with President Steve McKee, Camp Liaison Chris Yeates and everyone involved in the Charlotte Curling Association to make this camp weekend a success.
Good curling and see you in Charlotte in 2022.
