David started curling at age 12 and won the first bonspiel he played in.  A rink rat at the Penetanguishene Curling Club, he met Russ Howard who gave him tips on his delivery.  Many hours were spent throwing stones with the legendary curler.  When the opportunity came years later to create the HOT SHOTS Curling Camp, Russ Howard and his 1993 World Championship team was enlisted to help teach.  The camp has evolved over the years under David’s stewardship and enthusiasn for curling and adult education.  Now, 15 years after staging that first camp, David continues to enjoy working with his world-class team of instructors who share his passion and dedication to the sport.
