PAT O. REID ACHIEVEMENT AWARD
Curling lost a great friend in 2002. Pat O. Reid of Oakville, Ontario was our Head Instructor and helped develop the curriculum for this camp. Her passion was her family and this great sport. We are a world leader in adult curling instruction thanks to this marvelous woman and we are so pleased that her son Trevor and his wife Amy are members of our team of instructors.
The HOT SHOTS Curling Camp honours the achievements of our campers each year in Pat’s name. Please scroll through the honour role of past PAT O. ACHIEVEMENT AWARD recipients.

CURL ONTARIO COACHING AWARD

Curl Ontario annually bestows two awards (one for the south and one for the north) to two deserving individuals.
The awards allow coaches to continue to upgrade their coaching certification and to assist the recipient’s curling club to certify additional coaches.

Nominees will be individuals who have shown a great deal of commitment and passion to the development of athletes both on and off the ice. The nominees can be coaches who have been involved for a long time or short time, with youth curlers and/or adults. They can be individuals with no certification, but with a desire to obtain certification, or those with high levels of certification. These awards are available to all types of coaches, not just those who have coached “elite” teams.

The nomination forms can be found at the following link: Nomination.

On a personal note, my mother loved the sport of curling, and shared this passion with many curlers. I have spoken with many coaches, athletes and parents that have indicated that they have been touched by her. I love hearing those stories and believe the best was to honour her memory is to give back to the sport.

There are many coaches who give a lot to the sport and deserve to be recognized. Please consider the award, and nominate that special person who has given generously to your club, team and/or sport.

If you have any questions or comments regarding the process I can be reached by e-mail at trev_reid@hotmail.com or by telephone at 519-509-3672.
